Use the GWTH description framework to write a clear, detailed prompt:

Paste this into your builder:

> Build a personal expense tracker with the following features:

> - Dashboard showing: total spending this month, spending by category as a colourful pie chart, and a list of recent expenses sorted by date

Click "Generate" or "Build" and wait 30-90 seconds for the AI to create your app.

Once generated, review the result:

• Does it have all the features you described?


• Is the layout clean and usable?


• Does the pie chart display correctly?


• Is it mobile-friendly? (Resize your browser window to check)

Now iterate. Give the AI specific feedback to improve the app. Try these refinements one at a time:

1. "Make the category colours match: Food = green, Transport = blue, Bills = red, Entertainment = purple, Shopping = amber, Other = grey"
2. "Add a search bar above the expense list to filter by category or description"
3. "Show a running total in the header that updates when I add or remove expenses"
4. "Add smooth animations when adding or removing items"

Each round should take 15-30 seconds. Review after each change.

When you are happy with the result, deploy it:

Lovable: Click the "Deploy" button in the top right. You will receive a public URL like https://your-app.lovable.app

Bolt: Click "Deploy" in the header. You will get a URL like https://your-app.bolt.new

Open the URL on your phone to test the mobile experience. Share it with a friend or colleague — you just built and shipped your first app!
